Receive the Blessing

Many contemporary people struggle with the idea of a God who is near. We typically downplay the idea of God interacting and intervening in the everyday world we live in. Yet, Jacob shows us on his death bed a faith that has grown over the book of Genesis to see the presence of God and the grace of God. Jacob’s last words are centered around passing on blessing to his children because he believes in a God who intervenes and Jacob does so by a display of grace as he blesses the youngest son over the oldest. This message will focus on the events of Genesis 48 and specifically talk about how God delights to intervene in the world and how grace is central to having a relationship with Jesus.
