Serving people with disabilities and their families that they might know Jesus and grow in Him.
West Hills is committed to serving in the following ways:
Sunday Buddies: having people available on Sunday mornings to help a person with a disability connect with our various ministries. This often takes the form of helping a specific child in a Sunday school classroom so he or she can connect with the ministry and freeing parents or caregivers to worship in the main service.
Respite Events: West Hills periodically provides a Saturday event for children with disabilities and their siblings. This allows parents and caregivers in our community the opportunity to take a break knowing that their children are being cared for in a safe and understanding environment.
Family Camp: West Hills supports the ministry of Joni and Friends in providing a week-long family camp for families and individuals living with disabilities. Camps are held in June and July and West Hills provides a significant number of volunteers who are critical to this ministry.
