At West Hills we want to see people become disciples of Jesus Christ who love God (Dt. 6:5; Mt. 22:37), actively love other people (Mt. 22:39), and make other disciples (Mt. 28:18-20). We encourage people to join us in living out these values. Worship
One of the ways we worship God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength is to gather corporately each week to express our love for Him and to receive His word.
We want to direct our attention towards God to ascribe to Him the worth and glory He is due. Worship should also happen outside the church walls so that we’re doing all things for the glory of God; however, we believe that there is essential value in coming together as God’s people to worship alongside one another.
In practice, this means that we at West Hills value gathering together as a community to worship corporately in the preaching of the word, in song, baptism, communion and prayer.

Every Christian has a personal relationship with God, but also belongs to a larger group. Christian faith is not meant to be lived in isolation. For that reason, the local church is not a building or a worship service. Instead the Bible describes the church as a people committed to one another, praying for one another and showing love for one another. Jesus taught his disciples that the world would know that they followed him if they had this kind of love for one another. Loving community is counter cultural. In authentic community we’re able to disciple one another, encourage one another, serve together and show the world physical proof of God’s transforming power through our love.
In practice West Hills values Community Groups as a place for this to happen. Community Groups meet at various times throughout the week. This kind of authentic Christian community can also be experienced in other venues within the church through Bible studies and serving in ministry.

God was not content to sit back and wait for us to come to him. Instead the Bible testifies to a God who goes out of his way to redeem people. At the heart of God’s mission is to reconcile humanity to himself. This happens as people experience the grace and forgiveness offered in the gospel through Jesus. Because of this, we are to represent Jesus in both word and action wherever we are in this world. This means that mission is both local and global; both inside and outside the walls of the church.
In practice we serve locally inside the church through various ministries and outside the church walls in our community as representatives of Jesus. Likewise, we are to go to the ends of the earth with the gospel or support those who do. Because of this, West Hills sends out and supports missionaries in our local community and worldwide.
