How Firm is Your Foundation?

Feb 14, 2021    Mike Burchfield

Anyone who has ever been involved in constructing buildings knows that the foundation for the building is of utmost importance. If the foundation is right the building will stand straight and stable, even during storms and earthquakes. If the foundation is wrong, however, the building will either collapse when storms or earthquakes come or it will slowly implode over time; and as it is with building construction, so it is with life. Jesus, therefore, closed his Sermon on the Mount with a lesson about foundations. In this sermon, Jesus calls you to consider how firm your foundation for life is. The message also explains what constitutes a strong versus a weak foundation. It then calls you to build your life on the strong foundation of Jesus Christ and his teachings, so that your life will not collapse when life's trials, tests and storms come.
