Heart Matters

In Luke 8:4, we find Jesus is at a point in his ministry where he has grown greatly in popularity. He is at a place where many a young pastor, preacher, church planter, missionary or church leadership wants to be - where multitudes are coming to him. When this begins to happen, what does Jesus do? He adjusts his teaching style by introducing the crowds to parables - and the first parable he gives is about a sower of seed and the result of his sowing. This sermon looks at this parable, and examines it's application to people who hear the gospel, showing clearly that when it comes to grasping the gospel, heart matters, and fruitfulness is a matter of the heart.
