Living as Christ's Gathered People

Jul 29, 2018    Mike Burchfield

This sermon, which is from 1 Peter 2:4-10 has as it’s theme “Living as Christ’s Gathered People’. Peter wrote to the elect exiles in Asia Minor that though they might be pushed to the fringes of society because of their faith, yet they were being built up in Christ as a spiritual house and a holy priesthood. Peter also reveals to how as a part of the church, they were God’s own special possession that they might proclaim the excellencies of God, who had called them out of darkness and into light. The sermon shows how the church exists in part to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God and illustrates what spiritual sacrifices are practically for 21st century christians.
