Not for the Righteous but Sinners

Dec 8, 2019    David Frederick

As we lead up to Christmas we are looking at statements from Jesus about why he came. Jesus consistently called the least and unlikely to follow him which led to criticism and rebuke by the proud and self-righteous. In response Jesus tells us that he came not for the righteous, but sinners. This sermon explores the kind of people Jesus befriended and called to follow him, the complaint of the Pharisees and the call that Christ places on the life of any who’d follow after him.
