Questions and Answers
The COVID-19 pandemic presents both significant challenges and spiritual growth opportunities for our church family. The purpose of this message is to let you know that we have published a Question and Answer resource to address some of the critical questions our church family has been grappling with during this season.
This document (click the link above) is intended to help us have a biblical perspective during this time as we live out love for God and others. We will be adding to these questions as needed. Let us know if there are specific questions you would like to see addressed. You can send your questions using this form or email Brad Mortensen (jbradley@westhills.org).
Below is the current set of questions addressed:
How does the West Hills leadership team interact with difficult and important questions such as compliance with state requirements or COVID-19 health risks?
What biblical principles and passages inform our actions regarding government authorities?
What biblical principles and passages inform our attitudes regarding government authorities?
What role does the US Constitution and Bill of Rights play in a church deciding if they should obey or disobey government authority?
Why are we singing in a church gathering if the requirements do not allow it?
How are we shepherding people since we are not meeting fully as a gathered body?
How does what other churches are doing either in complying with or opposing government restrictions inform what West Hills is doing or will do in the future?
