What to Expect

If you're new, you're not alone.
We have first-time students almost every week!

Both our Middle School and High School programs generally follow this  schedule: thirty minutes of games and hanging out, thirty minutes of biblical teaching geared toward students and the challenges they face, and thirty minutes of guy/girl specific small group discussion time.

We believe that the Bible is both absolutely true and absolutely relevant to everything in life
(2 Timothy 3:14-17). Therefore, everything we do is focused on learning from God's Word so that we can know God himself and then know how to live for him.

Our Student Ministry programs wouldn't be possible without our incredible team of adult leaders who are eager to get to know and walk through life with your student!

Whether you've been attending church your entire life or you're new to church altogether,
you're welcome here and you belong here.

Elliot Goldinger

Director of Student Ministries

Welcome! I've been the Director of Student Ministries here at West Hills since the spring of 2020.  A little bit about me:  I grew up in central Wisconsin attending church, but I didn't truly begin following Jesus until my sophomore year of high school.  As I became more involved in the life of my church, I began to sense a calling to ministry, which led me to Boyce College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2015, where I would meet my wife.  After completing my degrees from both schools in 2020, I married my beautiful wife Alex and moved to Morgan Hill just a month later to begin serving at West Hills.

I want students to see, receive, and savor the gospel in their hearts and in their lives (John 3:16). I'm passionate about teaching the Bible to students and showing them how following Jesus changes everything (Colossians 1:28). My purpose is to point students to Jesus and equip them to serve him in middle school, high school and beyond (Matthew 28:16-20). If you're interested in learning more about our ministry, I'd love to hear from you!
