Hey There JH CREW HUME Registered Families!  I wanted to pass the theme info to you as soon as we received. HS students have the same theme, but Pastor David will be sending separate communication to the HS group.  Hope you enjoy and get excited for what the Lord has waiting for us!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOLLOW CHRIST? This summer we want students to understand that Christ followers. . .follow Christ. Although many people in our culture have identified as a “Christian”, there is often a misunderstanding of how Jesus defines following. Even the earliest followers of Christ wrestled with the same questions we face today: “How do we follow a God we cannot see?” We will see how Jesus himself answers this question, and enables us to follow Him through His Spirit and the Church.

GALATIANS 2:20 (THEME VERSE) “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Remember, all cabins compete daily in decorating and cabin clean up. I know the CREW  ladies wanted to really try hard to decorate the room a lot this year. So… let’s start gathering room decorations, and thinking creatively regarding our theme day dress attire. Last year the  CREW Hume peeps went shopping together to come up with ideas for dressing up on spirit day. The ladies went as m&m’s, but this year we have the time to think about it and get even more creative!  Let’s start talking about what outfits we want to wear and put together.

Spirit Day Theme: During Thursday morning recreation we will kick it back to the old school days of relay races with insane amounts of fun and high energy. It’s the day in the week to dress up and go crazy with your Rec Team. So get together with your cabin and figure out how you want to come dressed!! The theme this year is “Pompadours & Poodles, Sock Hops & Soda Shops.” We look forward to seeing what fun things you guys come up with.

Our Rec colors are: Red and Black
